Bilal Maqsood is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, composer and music-video director best known as one half of the pop-rock duo Strings, which he co-founded in 1988 and fronted until its 2021 breakup. The son of writer-satirist Anwar Maqsood, he helped shape modern Pakistani pop with hits like 'Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar' and 'Duur,' and later produced and directed Coke Studio Pakistan. Since Strings disbanded he has performed solo and created Urdu children's music and content.
