In comments carried by BANG Showbiz via Yahoo, Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin said they have finished a new studio album, produced again by Andrew Watt, with a tentative early-2027 release. Taupin said an infection that left John with limited vision reversed their usual process, with John writing instrumental tracks first and Taupin adding words afterward.

Elton John announces two "Farewell to Mexico" concerts in Mexico City for October 2026

Consequence reports Elton John will play Estadio Banorte in Mexico City on October 2 and 3, 2026, his first shows in the city in 14 years and his first formal arena concerts since retiring from touring in 2023.
