the story
Elton John is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, known for pop-rock standards such as "Your Song," "Rocket Man" and "Candle in the Wind" written with lyricist Bernie Taupin. Knighted in 1998, he completed the EGOT with a 2024 Emmy win and closed his record-grossing Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in 2023. He continues to record new music and stage occasional concerts while running the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
