Babar Azam is a Pakistani cricketer widely regarded as one of the finest batters of his generation and a former captain of Pakistan across all three formats. He holds records as the fastest batter to 5,000 ODI runs and the leading run-scorer in men's T20 internationals, and has twice been named an ICC Cricketer of the Year. In July 2026 he was reappointed Pakistan's Test captain, returning to red-ball leadership for a third stint.
