Roy's 1989 screenwriting debut returns in 4K restoration at London Indian Film Festival

A 4K restoration of In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, the 1989 film Roy wrote and acted in as an architecture student, received a UK premiere at BFI Southbank on 15 July 2026 as part of the London Indian Film Festival. Apollo Magazine framed the little-seen film as an origin story for Roy's later career as an activist-novelist.
