Shyam Charan Murmu is known as the husband of Droupadi Murmu, the 15th President of India. He was a banker at the Bank of India and married Murmu in 1980. He died in 2014, and his wife later founded the SLS Memorial Residential School in his memory at his native village of Pahadpur.
