Fans think Phoebe Bridgers' new album Lost Weekend takes aim at ex Paul Mescal — and Gracie Abrams
People reports that early listens of Bridgers' album Lost Weekend (out August 14) appear to reference her split from Mescal, with 'The Governor's Waltz' including the line 'she took my place in my bed, on that stage,' which fans read as a nod to Abrams. Billboard likewise reports fans say the song shades the couple, while a title-track lyric about a called-off engagement is fueling further speculation. Bridgers has not confirmed who, if anyone, the songs are about, and no one is named in the lyrics.
