Marcello Mastroianni is an Italian film actor who became one of the defining stars of 20th-century cinema, known as the screen's reluctant Latin lover. He rose to fame as the weary journalist in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita, starred in more than 120 films, and twice won Best Actor at Cannes. He had a long relationship with French actress Catherine Deneuve, with whom he had a daughter, Chiara.
