Djamel Belmadi is an Algerian football manager and former midfielder who played in Ligue 1, the Premier League and La Liga before turning to coaching. As Algeria's head coach he won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and was named CAF Coach of the Year, and he now manages Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail. Born in France, he represented Algeria internationally as a player.
