Dev Patel wraps A24's first India-shot film, the revenge thriller 'The Peasant'
A24 has completed principal photography on The Peasant, the studio's first production filmed entirely in India, Deadline reported. Patel directs, co-wrote (with Will Dunn), and stars in the film, which follows a 14th-century shepherd hunting the mercenaries who ravaged his community. Shot across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan, it reunites Patel with Thunder Road Pictures, which produced his directorial debut Monkey Man.
