Chetan Bhagat is an Indian author, columnist and screenwriter whose English-language novels about young middle-class Indians rank among the country's best-selling fiction. A former investment banker trained at IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, he broke out with his 2004 debut Five Point Someone and has since seen several books, including 2 States and Half Girlfriend, adapted into major Bollywood films. TIME named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2010.
