Bilawal pushes truth-and-reconciliation commission amid Pakistan-administered Kashmir unrest
As deadly protests and a contested election roiled Pakistan-administered Kashmir, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari proposed a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to examine grievances on all sides and urged demonstrators to suspend their movement once it was agreed, Al Jazeera reported. In early August, Al Jazeera reported Bilawal said his party had already implemented 35 of the 38 demands raised by the Joint Awami Action Committee, arguing the remaining ones were unfeasible or blocked by court rulings.
