Azim Premji is an Indian business magnate who built Wipro from a modest vegetable-oil company into a global technology and services conglomerate. Widely known as one of India's most generous philanthropists, he was the first Indian to sign the Giving Pledge and channels much of his fortune through the Azim Premji Foundation. He handed executive control of Wipro to his son Rishad in 2019 while remaining a non-executive founder-chairman.
