Amazigh Kateb is an Algerian singer, songwriter and gimbri player who fronts the politically charged fusion band Gnawa Diffusion, blending Maghrebi gnawa music with reggae, rock and rap. The son of the writer Kateb Yacine, he founded the Grenoble-based group in 1992 before launching a solo career in 2007. He reunited Gnawa Diffusion for a comeback in 2025.
