Ali Sethi trades "Pasoori" dance rhythms for meditative longing on new album Room Jhoom

In a July 2026 interview with The Line of Best Fit, Sethi described his collaborative album Room Jhoom with composer Gregory Rogove as a study in "radical waiting," a deliberate turn away from the dance-pop of "Pasoori" toward Sufi devotional and birahini vocal traditions.
