A. R. Rahman is an Indian composer, record producer and singer widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern film music. He rose to fame scoring Tamil and Hindi cinema before winning two Academy Awards, two Grammys, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire.
