Hamilton eyes stronger second half as Ferrari chase engine gains on Mercedes
ESPN reported that Hamilton expects a stronger second half of 2026, saying Ferrari has been 'three or four tenths down on the straights' to Mercedes, which has won eight of the first eleven races. Ferrari introduced an engine upgrade at the Austrian Grand Prix and can deploy one more under the FIA's ADUO system, with team boss Fred Vasseur noting power-unit development takes longer than chassis work.
