Carey Mulligan joins Billie Eilish in 'The Bell Jar' adaptation

Variety reports that Carey Mulligan has joined the cast of Focus Features' adaptation of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar, playing Mrs. Greenwood, mother to the protagonist played by Billie Eilish in the singer's film acting debut. Sarah Polley is directing the project. The casting follows Mulligan's Emmy nomination for the second season of Netflix's Beef.
