Alessandro Borghi leads Gianni Amelio's Nessun Dolore at Venice 2026, in cinemas Sept. 24

Borghi stars as a Roman used-book seller whose life is upended by a North African child in Gianni Amelio's Nessun Dolore, listed by the Venice Biennale in the festival's out-of-competition Venice Open section for the 2026 edition (Sept. 2-12) that Variety covered in its lineup announcement. He heads a cast that also includes Valeria Golino and Valerio Mastandrea, and the film opens in Italian cinemas on September 24, 2026.
